As a web developer, I've created a lot of different web sites for a lot of different people. So, by the time I get home, I'm usually pretty sick of looking at a computer. I've created blogs for people, forums, social network sites, and so much other stuff, but I've never really gotten into any of this myself, because, like I said, I haven't been in the mood to sit at the computer after doing it all day.
I started up this blog over a year ago, blogged for a bit, then gave it up for a bit because I just got tired of fighting the blogging software, and the site was butt ugly and it just depressed me looking at it. After the first of the year, I felt that I was ready to start it back up, so I changed software, got a pretty design setup and started doing this thing again and I've been having a lot of fun doing this and playing around with it and really abusing the people that read this by continually adding new cool toys (to me anyway).
I've met a LOT of very interesting people while doing this and I've read a lot of other blogs and I feel much better as a parent in doing so. I've learned that a lot of what my kids do is fairly common and they aren't near as crazy as I thought they were. They're still crazy, mind you, just not AS MUCH as I thought.
I've been reading a lot of daddy and mommy blogs, as well as just regular Joe's without those little rug rats and there are just a lot of really cool people out there. I've been really impressed with the people that I follow and have been really entertained reading every post that comes from these awesome people. I personally recommend each and everyone of these people in the Super Mega Commenter's section, and especially the people in the Great Reads section over on the right. There's some great blogs that I'm following that I haven't added to that list yet, and if I comment on your blog and haven't added you to this list, I apologize and please feel free to "Contact" me and I'll get you up (on the list that is!). Periodically I add blogs I'm following to that list, it just takes me awhile because I'm really lazy. Really REALLY lazy.
So, today I discovered how to upload pictures to my Flickr stream from my cell phone, and I also discovered how to upload videos to YouTube from my phone. The Flickr stream is automatically updated and the picture shows up in the little Super Mega Photos on the right hand side. All from my cell phone! YouTube videos are a little more complicated, but this does make it easier to embed videos I take with my phone directly into my post. Hopefully my first attempt at this is below. I took the kids to the park, and they were trying to get a bird to come down from a tree and play with them.
So, hopefully this works. You would think someone that does computers ALL DAY LONG would have been doing this for a long time, but there you are. Up until today, I was a YouTube virgin. Go figure.
